Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Quran Quotes on the Prophet

The Quran declares Muhammad ﷺ as a Prophet in the following verses, from the same lineage of prophets like Jesus and Moses:

And Muhammad ﷺ is no more than a messenger like the messengers that have already passed away before him; if then he dies or is killed will you turn back upon your heels? And whoever turns back upon his heels, he will by no means do harm to Allah in the least, and Allah will reward the grateful.
Quran 3:144
O Prophet! surely We have sent you as a witness, and as a bearer of good news and as a warner. And as one inviting to Allah by His permission, and as a light-giving torch. And give to the believers the good news that they shall have a great grace from Allah. And be not compliant to the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and leave unregarded their annoying talk, and rely on Allah; and Allah is sufficient as a Protector.
Quran 33:45 - 48
Surely We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and a warner; and there is not a people but a warner has gone among them. And if they call you a liar, so did those before them indeed call (their messengers) liars; their messengers had come to them with clear arguments, and with scriptures, and with the illuminating book.
Quran 35:24 - 45
Say: I am not the first of the messengers, and I do not know what will be done with me or with you: I do not follow anything but that which is revealed to me, and I am nothing but a plain warner.
Quran 46:9

Beleiving Muhammad ﷺ as Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and to follow what he says is essential if you believe in Allah:

Surely We have sent you (Muhammad ﷺ) as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner, so that you (the people) may believe in Allah and His Messenger and may aid him and revere him; and (that) you may declare His (Allahs) glory, morning and evening.
Quran 48:8 - 9

Allah told Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to say to the people the following verses, so that they did not take him to be anything more than a Prophet:

Say: I do not say to you, I have with me the treasures of Allah, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel; I do not follow aught save that which is revealed to me. Say: Are the blind and the seeing one alike? Do you not then reflect?
Quran 6:50
Say: I do not control any benefit or harm for my own soul except as Allah please; and had I known the unseen I would have had much of good and no evil would have touched me; I am nothing but a warner and the giver of good news to a people who believe.
Quran 7:188

The Quran clarifies that Muhammad ﷺ is the last Prophet that Allah will send:

Muhammad ﷺ is not the father of any of your men, but he is Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the Last of Prophet Muhammad ﷺs; and Allah is cognizant of all things.
Quran 33:40

The Quran states that Muhammad ﷺ was given the book to help other people and guide them:

And thus did We reveal to you an inspired book by Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor (what) the faith (was), but We made it a light, guiding thereby whom We please of Our servants; and most surely you show the way to the right path
Quran 42:52

The importance of following Prophet Muhammad ﷺ that Allah has sent to his people:

Those who follow the Messenger-Prophet, the Ummi, whom they find written down with them in the Taurat and the Injeel (who) enjoins them good and forbids them evil, and makes lawful to them the good things and makes unlawful to them impure things, and removes from them their burden and the shackles which were upon them; so (as for) those who believe in him and honor him and help him, and follow the light which has been sent down with him, these it is that are the successful.Say: O people! surely I am Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to you all, of Him Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth there is no god but He; He brings to life and causes to die therefore believe in Allah and His messenger, the Ummi Prophet who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him so that you may walk in the right way.
Quran 7:157 - 158
He it is Who raised among the inhabitants of Mecca an Messenger from among themselves, who recites to them His communications and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom, although they were before certainly in clear error. And others from among them who have not yet joined them; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. That is Allah's grace; He grants it to whom He pleases, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace. The likeness of those who were charged with the Taurat, then they did not observe it, is as the likeness of the ass bearing books, evil is the likeness of the people who reject the communications of Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust people.
Quran 62:2 - 5

People believed Muhammad ﷺ to be a madman, a poet or a soothsayer, and the Quran repeats that he is none of those things, just Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and that no person could ever come up with a book like the Quran:

Do they not reflect that their companion has not unsoundness in mind; he is only a plain warner.
Quran 7:184
Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman.
Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time.
Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait.
Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people?
Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe.
Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful.
Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators?
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty.
Quran 52:29 - 36
Your companion does not err, nor does he go astray;
Nor does he speak out of desire.
It is naught but revelation that is revealed,
The Lord of Mighty Power has taught him,
Quran 53:2 - 5
By the grace of your Lord you are not mad.
And most surely you shall have a reward never to be cut off.
And most surely you conform (yourself) to sublime morality.
So you shall see, and they (too) shall see,
Which of you is afflicted with madness.
Surely your Lord best knows him who errs from His way, and He best knows the followers of the right course.
So do not yield to the rejecters.
Quran 68:2 - 8
And your companion is not gone mad.
And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon.
Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer.
Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan,
Whither then will you go?
It is naught but a reminder for the nations,
For him among you who pleases to go straight.
And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds.
Quran 81:22 - 29
And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe;
Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind.
It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings,
We would certainly have seized him by the right hand,
Then We would certainly have cut off his aorta.
And not one of you could have withheld Us from him.
And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).
And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters.
And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers.
Therefore-glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
Quran 69:41 - 52
